Breaking news in WAN board fight

Dear Mayne Report subscribers,
I've just got off the phone from a credible media figure who has agreed to run for the board of WA News as a genuine independent candidate.
I've agreed not to name names until the ASX is formally advised of the candidates by the company, but as part of this I've decided not to run.
This is serious stuff - time for the serial candidate to get out of the way. WA News is in play, Kerry Stokes wants board control and none of the incumbents have any media experience.
The editor of the flagship publication is out of control, but the incumbent board seems too scared to take action that would almost certainly improve the financial performance of the company.
This new media executive is perfect for such a situation.
These are exciting times, folks.
