The Mayne Report is Stephen Mayne's web site and email newsletter for coverage and campaigns on corporate governance, politics, business, gambling reform and media which went live on 9 November, 2007.

Stephen is Australia's best known retail shareholder advocate who has asked questions at more than 850 AGMs, run for 57 public company boards and twice served on the board of the Australian Shareholders' Association.

Stephen co-founded the subscription email newsletter, Crikey.com which he sold in 2005. He is a business journalist by trade and a regular commentator on radio and television.

Stephen is also a former local government councillor having served at City of Manningham from 2008-12 and 2020-24 and at City of Melbourne (2012-2016), where he chaired the Finance and Governance committee and was deputy chair of the Planning Committee.
